I have been working as a professional photographer for the last fifteen years, and photographing weddings for the last 8.
I specialize in a natural, documentary style, which focuses a lot on candid images. At each wedding I also like to work on a series of poetic and more editorial style photographs. I am always looking for gorgeous scenes, some exceptional light, and the possibility of a moment that feels sublime or cinematic.
I enjoy getting to know my clients before the wedding day, so I can get a sense of what is most important to them, both in content and style. I love conveying the narrative and the emotions of the day, and curating a series of images that can be treasured for years to come.
When I am not making photos, I am developing the other streams of my multidisciplinary practice. Art, poetry and nature take up most of the moments when I don’t have a camera up to my eye. I also love camping, coffee, weather phenomena, podcasts, and all the hand-made things....
I was so excited when Taryn and Syd asked if I wanted to be part of Folklore Wedding Collective. I deeply trust their intuition, skills, intention, and aesthetics. How wonderful it is to be added to their team.

Phöenix and Justin Kelley are beautifully talented musicians who reside on Salt Spring Island. When they contacted me about their wedding, they let me know it would be an intimate gathering of about twenty people; family, and friends that were as close as family.

How incredible to be asked to photograph Tompi and Aminder’s wedding in the summer of 2024.

I share this set of images from the beauteous wedding of Sandy and Caz at Bullock Lake Farm as a little reference for them, but also for people to get a sense of how I document a wedding day. I love an 8 or 9 hour wedding as it allows me to share the story of the day from getting ready, until the stars are out, and everyone is dancing beneath them.
