Andrea and Ted's day settled into an easy rhythm from the first hour, and it was exactly the kind of work we love: two people generous and unhurried, clearly at home among the friends and family they had gathered. Their Hastings House wedding photography was made on both digital and 35mm film, documenting the day as it unfolded rather than staging it. Hastings House gave us a fitting place to do that. One of Salt Spring Island's most storied properties, it offers texture at every turn: soft coastal light, old timber, hedges and heritage gardens that run right down toward the water, the quiet of the harbour just beyond. We moved through the day at the pace it wanted to move, letting the light and the place do most of the work while Andrea and Ted simply got on with the business of getting married.
