Stephanie Artuso (she/her) is a mother, artist and wedding photographer on Gabriola Island whose photography leans into the human experience.
The Story
Stephanie Artuso (she/her) is a mother, artist and photographer living on Gabriola Island, the unceded territory of the snuneymuxw First Nation. Her artistic calling has always pulled her toward the expression of the human experience and our relationships to each other, a subject's connection to themself, to their work, to their spaces and to their loved ones.
As a photographer she is always looking at the details: what someone surrounds themselves with that tells the story of who they are. She's especially drawn to the in-between moments, the punchline, the movement. She wants a photograph to be a time capsule: when you look at it, you are transported.
As a wedding photographer she documents the day in detail: every item you've chosen from the dress to the food, the special people you're sharing it with, and the moments that carry it. She works alongside the other artists of Folklore Wedding Company, a team that delivers high-quality multimedia time capsules of this extraordinary day.
