Wedding rentals on the islands have always been scattered. A company in Courtenay, someone in Ganges with an arbour her father built, a couple in Duncan with ninety plates they used once. Couples find them by asking around, which works if you already know who to ask.
This is where they are collected. Everything here is available somewhere on Vancouver Island or the Gulf Islands, and every piece says who it belongs to and which community it lives in. Filter by your region to see what you can actually get to, and by what you are looking for.
You are not renting from Folklore unless the piece says so. Most of what is here belongs to other businesses and to individuals, and your inquiry goes to them. Folklore hosts the messaging so nobody has to publish their home email address, and so we can tell whether people are answering.
Find the rentals you need
Start with your region, since rentals are collected and returned rather than shipped. Then narrow by the kind of piece. Every card names its owner and their community, so you know how far you are driving before you ask.
Ask the owner
Send a note about the piece and your date. It reaches them as ordinary email with a private link to reply, and nothing is reserved or charged at this stage. Folklore is copied in, which is how we know whether you got an answer.
Arrange it between you
Pricing, pickup, deposits and returns are settled directly with whoever owns the piece. If Folklore is planning your day, we can help match rentals to your venue and coordinate the collecting.
