Some days don’t need a crowd to feel complete. Erin and Matt came to Salt Spring to make their vows quietly, just the two of them and the island, and that’s exactly what the day became.
Kelly Zantingh shot it in a mix of digital and film, letting the slower, grainier frames sit alongside the sharp ones. There’s something about film on a day like this. It holds the light a little differently, the way memory does.
We were lucky to share the day with Kelsey Robson, who led the ceremony with real warmth and made the moment feel like theirs. And WoodShed put together a picnic that turned the celebration into a proper feast, the kind of spread you linger over with no reason to rush.
Congratulations, Erin and Matt. Thank you for letting us be there for it.
