The 2025 Salt Spring Island Wedding Vendors Meetup

Salt Spring Island wedding vendors filled Mateada for the 2025 industry meetup: photographers, planners, florists, chefs, and celebrants, all in one room. It was an amazing gathering of the local community, and we are very excited to work with many of you in the months and years to come.

Why gather Salt Spring Island wedding vendors in one room?

Because weddings here are a team sport. Every celebration on this island runs on a web of people who trust each other's work: the planner who knows which farm has the best light in September, the chef who talks to the florist about the table, the officiant who has married half the couples in the room. A meetup turns those working relationships into friendships, and couples feel the difference on their wedding day. The gathering was hosted by Miranda Berber of Bullock Lake Farm and Katie Brennan, wedding celebrant and officiant. Much love to the following: Mateada for the fabulous venue, Folklore Wedding Company for free headshots, Chef Deb, Vivezza Winery, SSI Mead, WoodShed Provisions, and Salt Spring Chocolate for food and drink, and Salt Spring Photo Booth for the photo fun. Every one of them showed up the way they do for weddings: generously and with care.

Speakers From the Island Wedding Community

The afternoon included talks from people who know this work deeply: Billie Woods, photographer, wedding planner, and the force behind Salt Spring Weddings, and Chelsea and Bryan of Kinder Weddings. Hearing how other vendors think about their craft is half the value of a room like this; the other half is the conversations that start the moment the talks end.
